Welcome
Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,
Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;
Sounds of the rude world heard in the day,
Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd away

Can you tell what this is?? This is actually an abandoned railway tunnel but converted to become a Wine tunnel. It has the ability to keep a constant temperature of 15-16C all year round, so it is perfect for storing wine. The wine stored there is persimmon wine, I'm not a fan of drinking thus I cant tell you if it tastes good haha....but I did bought some dried persimmon to eat- that I must say is sweet & nice. Today is a history tour to see the olden days of Korea. After lunch we visited Cheomseongdae, the oldest astronomical observatory in Asia. It was used for observing the stars in order to forecast the weather. This was built under the order of an Empress so it has a wide bottom like "hip" of woman?? hee.... Got hit by LORRY before so a little slant How to climb inside?
Next is to see Bulguksa Temple- a test of determination & perseverance!! The steps are made of big stone block, in order to see the Gods of higher level, you have to climb to the halls located higher up. I find it very scary when coming down , there isn't really a railing to hold... And I made a wrong choice of wearing my slippers to walk the sandy rock path, end up got aching feet!!
Exterior view of temple Jeju aka "Honeymoon Island" is our next destination, to be reached by a 1 hr domestic flight. Can't wait to explore !! Here is where I taste the best seaweed soup.

After a buffet breakfast, we were ready to set off for yet another fun-filled day to Everland. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we cannot play any of the rides & it was kind of troublesome to move around with the raincoat. But a little rain shouldn't stop us seeking fun hee... Firstly we head off for a safari adventure- to see lions, tigers, bears etc in their most natural behavior, to move around freely like really living in the wild. The most unique animal is Liger- a cross breed of lion & tiger, they are rare & only exist in Korea & USA. Bears were taught to perform simple tricks such as stand up or wave in return for a little snack thrown by the bus driver.
Bye Bye people, Hello food
After the ride, we went to catch the funny animals show & the sealion performance. It is interesting even if we cannot understand the narration of the story. Lovely flowers in the park
After a wet afternoon in the park, we are all super hungry- Korean BBQ is really great, yummy!! This is my favourite meal for the trip. Then we had to start off a long 3 hr ride to our next destination -Daegu. That night I got insomnia as I find the bed & pillow too hard to sleep. End up I try to lie on the floor haha...

Annyong Haseyo Korea!! On 1st June 2009, me, TKL & FM began our journey to the "Land of kimchi". It was really exciting to be able to see the things from Korean drama, to hear korean language around us & of course to try Korean food!! However if you are hoping to spot cute guys like Lee Min-Ho on the streets, be prepared to get disappointed, you don't really find any hee... As our tour guide mention, usually good-looking people will have go & become actors/singers liao....But if we want to look like celebrity, he can give us a recommendation for plastic surgeon.haha maybe when I save enough $$ lah. Our 1st meal upon arrival was Mac breakfast, according to our coffee expert Fm, she finds their coffee too "light". Then we were off for an early lunch- 部队火锅. This is invented by the American soldiers living in Korea, they simply added hotdog & ham to the usual soup to give it a more rich flavour, yum!!
After that we were off to pay a visit to Miss 大长今 at Daejanggeum Theme Park.The place was not as big as we thought & the houses are very similar so you can view the whole place in 15min if you not really into detail... keke but it does give a feel of stepping into the past.
Then we tried our hands at picking melon aka 香瓜 at a fruit farm, this is different from the melons we see in Singapore. It is a little hairy & sticky to touch. Hee what we ate was a bit hard & not really sweet, maybe it is too ripe liao??
We stayed at Phoenix Park Resort , a ski resort which is the filming location for "蓝色生死恋“, cool I love that show!! My 1st korean drama that I watched. As there is no snow, so no skiing but instead we had fun playing water at the Blue Canyon Water Theme Park- jacuzzi, so relaxing!! They had sauna too but you must be naked to go in haha no courage loh ... Display of the show
Meals always consist of many side dish
